    1. Captain, you still bought under $60. That's not bad considering the 52-week high is in the low $90s. In the long run, you should be fine with your purchase. Meanwhile, site back and collect the 3%+ in dividends. :)

  2. Fellow WMT shareholder here! I picked up a few shares right before ex-div date. I plan on making this a core holding. WalMart isnt going anywhere anytime soon. I hope it stays at these levels just a little longer so i can buy more in 2016!

    1. Always good to hear from a fellow shareholder. Way to get in just in time for the upcoming dividend payout! If the Christmas season does not do well overall, I think you'll get the opportunity in 2016 that you are looking for. Hard to tell just by going to the mall these days though because so many people are either buying gift cards or shopping online. Time will tell.

Cheers to a great new year and hopefully one that includes more shares in WMT for you. AFFJ

  3. I also own WMT -- maybe its time to look at adding shares again. I sure am glad you stayed clear of KMI. It truly sucks when a company cuts their dividend so much.

Take care and best of luck with your investment!

    1. Hello fellow shareholder. :)

Yes, KMI is going through tough times and unfortunately as a shareholder, our upcoming dividends will be suffering a bit. I guess that means we need to put more money to work soon so that we can off-set the dividend loss from Kinder Morgans's recent cut. :)

Thanks for stopping by, cheers to a great 2016!

  4. WMT is a bargain at current prices - the stock is beaten down, but WMT is still an industry leader with a strong competitive advantage.

    1. I know there are people who prefer to shop at TGT over Walmart but at the end of the day, it is tough to compete against their presence and scale. I am glad to hold WMT in our family's portfolio and plan to do so for years to come.

Cheers to owning industry leaders! AFFJ
