If you missed it, I had prepared a stock analysis of BBL back in May of this year where I concluded that I felt the stock was a good value under $60. Well, the stock dipped under $60 today and my feelings haven't changed so took the opportunity to invest in a company I think is a good value at today's prices.

What are your thoughts about my recent purchase?

What are you buying?

  1. Congratulations on the milestone! I too have been looking at BBL given the recent weakness (sub $60 as well) and will likely look to open a position in the next month or two.

    1. Thanks...pretty excited to surpass the $2K milestone. The market seems to be on a slide so hopefully I can take full advantage and make a dent into my next milestone of $3K. :)

Buy when you are comfortable with the risk/reward ratio...we would welcome you as a fellow BBL shareholder. AFFJ

    1. MDP - it has gone down further since this purchase so I may buy a few more shares to average down. I have my eye on $56. :)

Thanks for the continued support. AFFJ

  4. Thanks for sharing your recent buy with us. Breaking the $2k milestone is huge. I hope to get there this month or next. BBL has been making the rounds among a few of the dividend bloggers. It's always interesting to see the ebb and flow of certain stocks over the months. I remember in the spring when all the talk was TGT. Now, not a peep. Look forward to your next update and dividend progress.

    1. DivHut - BBL has been on my radar since May but the stock spiked before I had a chance to pick up shares. I know there are risks but I think at current prices BBL is attractively valued with upside potential.

As far TGT, the stock was more attractive under $60, but now that it is at $63, many investors don't seem as interested...myself included. I bought shares in the spring but won't be adding any shares at current prices. :)

    1. We haven't watched the stock quite that long but I have noticed it on the Edward Jones buy list for quite some time. I like the stock at the current prices and feel it is a good long term hold for our family's portfolio. :)

    1. Thanks HHWG. As you've probably already seen by now, its gone down further since our purchase. We like the long term prospects of BBL. Since we plan to hold BBL for the long haul, we actually decided to buy addt'l shares since this purchased to average down our cost basis.

Thanks for your comment. Best Wishes! AFFJ
