Fun Goals (Update) - Hike No. 3

No work for dad, and no school for kids, means our family got to enjoy a nice family activity today. Instead of sitting around the TV, or watching videos on the pad, our family decided to go out and do a hike up the Hollywood Sign this morning.  It was roughly 6 miles round trip and took over two hours (with kids) but we made it all the way to the top and back!

At the end of the day, we are still an anonymous blog. But we just thought we'd add a little more personal touch to the blog this year. Hoping to break up the serious stuff with some fun stuff, we plan to share a few photos of our fun adventures throughout this coming year. Hope you enjoy the personal touch. :)

You can also see the top of a few buildings in downtown LA in the distance

Even though we have lived in California all our lives, this was the first time my wife and I hike up the infamous Hollywood sign.  It is a very popular hike and for good reason. The views were amazing!

With less than 3 weeks into the year, I am happy to report that we just completed hike number 3 of our goal to finish 26 hikes. Go us!! :)

  1. Awesome!! So glad to see you chugging away on the goals, and especially the "fun" ones. We did about a 3.5 mile hike on Sunday, and it was phenomenal! Love being outside and not stuck in front of a monitor. Thanks for the update!

    1. Hikes are great...so much to see and explore out there to be wasting away in front of a TV, computer or iPad. Keep active my friend. Glad you enjoyed the fun update. AFFJ

  2. Great photos and I love that you're adding a personal touch to the blog! With these hikes, you're living up to all 3 parts of your blog name: "Frugal" , "Family", and "Journey"!

    Take care

    1. Thanks FerdiS. We hope to share many more adventures this coming year. We want to open up as much to our readers as we can while remaining anonymous bloggers. Glad to hear our decision to do so is well received.

Cheers to the added personal touch. AFFJ
