This collection started out as my own personal data sheet but I have since decided to share it with the DGI community. I am glad I did because, as evident in our recent post (We Just Joined the 500K club), it has been once of the more popular pages on our blog!! We hope it everyone continues to use our Collection of Recent Buys and it remains a great resource for all. It can be a lot of work to maintain but we remain committed and will do our best to keep this list up to date.

WHAT EVERYONE HAS BEEN BUYING THIS PAST MONTH
We are not sure if DGI investors in our blogging community have stopped posting their buys, or if the buying activity simply saw a significant slow down, but we were only able to find and log a total of 36 buys throughout the DGI community.
Below is a chart and corresponding table that identifies those companies that were purchased at least two times this past month:

What have you been buying? Please feel free to share in the comments or send me a link to your Recent Buy post in case I happened to have missed it.
If you have a chance, make sure you also take a look at my COLLECTION OF STOCK ANALYSES!! As with my collection of recent buys, my goal is to make this collection also become a centralized source for everyone. It could become a place where one can get ideas on what to invest in next, to establish a desired stock purchase price, or simply to see what your favorite blogger is buying. Whatever your reason, my hope is that this collection proves to be a great reference tool and helps provide you that little extra advantage that you are looking for in order to succeed with your investing.
Glad you are still doing this even if it's on a monthly basis. Haven't made a buy in awhile but plan on this month
ReplyDeleteNot a lot of buying activity lately but I'm trying to keep this up. Hope to see your activity pick up!
DeleteCheers to increasing those forward dividends. AFFJ
Well, my buying did not stop. Last month I picked up PFE, GILD, AMGN and TEVA. By the way, you missed TEVA in your 'Collection of recent buys' for my June 2017. Thanks for compiling as always.
ReplyDeleteThank for letting me know about TEVA Keith. I'm out with the family but will add your buy later tonight when I get home.
DeleteThanks for the continued share of your buys. AFFJ
I add to all of them this past month. This definitely help a lot thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCongrats for adding to those forward dividends! You are certainly in great company. Cheers to seeing those upcoming dividends. AFFJ
DeleteNice i recently picked up cisco but bought a tonne of stocks ths past month. Check my site for purchases. More canadian stocks tho.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing me in your direction. Since I t's too late to be reflected into this summary, I will definitely make sure to check out your buys in the future.
DeleteAppreciate you stopping by and letting us know. Best wishes! AFFJ
Interesting post, thanks for sharing that. It is interesting to see what others are buying. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI agree BHL, we also turn to this collection when we are in the "market" for more stocks. ;)
DeleteGlad to hear you like it. See you back here next month, if not sooner! AFFJ
I bought 125 more shares of AT&T too.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear I missed a few because that means the DGI community has remained active. I'll make sure to add you buy, if for nothing more a record of the purchase.
DeleteCheers to that juicy 5% divy from AT&T. ;)

June was a quiet month for me, I've put in about 15k so far this year into investments so taking a month off wasn't terrible. I made up for it early July with 100 shares of NNN though.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on putting in 15K in just a little over a half a year...one quiete month is not going to hurt you one but after the start you've had! Way to go, look forward to seeing how you finish off the year.
DeleteBest wishes and cheers to the new dividends coming from NNN.

Well, this is still one of my favorite posts to look forward to. I didn't make a purchase in June, but I'm considering several stocks on this list including GIS and CSCO. I'm hopefully looking forward to add funds to my portfolio in August or September the latest.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this AFFJ.
Glad you enjoy them DP. We do our best to keep it going. as for CSCO and GIS, we have our eye on both companies as well. Who knows, we both may end up on the July Summary with those new purchases. ;)
DeleteThanks for stopping by. AFFJ
AFFJ -
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, as always. GIS has continued to slide even further, really tempting me right now! Great share.

No buys yet this month. Mostly because I am a slacker.
ReplyDeleteDFG :)
All for good reason. They are solid companies with great value at current prices. Nice to see what companies the community is buying all in one place. I know I made one or two buys on this list and own 4/5 in my portfolio. Thanks for sharing your data points.
ReplyDeleteDear AFFJ,
ReplyDeleteI'm looking to sell my shares in VGK (worth $30K) and buy one American Stock (I'm Canadian and this is all the USD I have invested). I'm looking for a dividend income of $1,200USD.
Target, Colgate-Palmolive and American Water Works are on my like list but they don't pay as high dividends as what I currently own. Clearly you like Target, thoughts on the other two?
Sarah.
I feel like I say the same thing every month, but thanks for this post. It's really helpful. I'm not surprised to see any of these names on the list. But I thought I'd also see L Brands on this list.
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting content! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your points and have come to the conclusion that you are right about many of them. You are great. ê°ëšì€íŒ
