Dividend Stocks Portfolio (Update) - December 2015

Here is the recent update to our dividend stocks portfolio – December 2015.

SALES

Glad to be reporting that this past month we did not sell off any shares from our family's dividend stock portfolio.  And since we did not sell any shares throughout the month of November, that also means that our annual dividends did not decrease either

TOTAL VALUE OF ALL SALES: $0.00

OVERALL DECREASE TO ANNUAL DIVIDENDS: $0.00

PURCHASES

Sadly, we must report that we did not make any stock purchases during the month of November. :) With a fairly large property tax bill and the holidays coming up, we simply weren't in a position to add any capital to our family's dividend stocks portfolio. As a result, the current total of 48 different companies/ETF that pay us a dividend remains the same.  Sadly, that also means that our annual dividends did not grow this past month. Our estimated annual income remains at $3,932 (including our Edward Jones account) or and average of approximately $327.66/month.

Below are the actual buys that we made during the past month:
TOTAL SPENT ON NEW ACQUISITION: $0.00

OVERALL INCREASE TO ANNUAL DIVIDENDS$0.00

  1. I am in the same position with a huge property tax bill (and related insurance) that I need to pay. The joy of home ownership, right? Unfortunately for me, this is a twice a year event :( it's much better if I could just invest.....

    1. haha...yes, the joys of home ownership. Since we don't impound our property taxes, it's a twice a year event for our family as well. Unfortunately for us, we are also paying a Mello Roos.

      I feel your pain D4S! :)

  2. Don't you just hate those property tax bills? We have 2 to take care of since we moved to a new house last year and we're trying to hang on to our first house as a rental property. Especially in California, property taxes seem to be quite high. Not complaining here -- we're privileged to be where we are.

    1. Glad you were able to keep your old home and still qualify for the new property. But yeah, having two property tax bill is definitely a double whammy! Hopefully your rental nets positive cash flow for you. Either way, in the long run, that rental income will be a nice supplement in retirement. We would like to have a rental one day as well. :)

Thanks for stopping by. Take care FerdiS.
