Collection of RECENT BUYS (April 2016 Summary)

Since I began investing in dividend stocks approximately two years ago I've been keeping a personal log of what other dividend bloggers and dividend investors are buying.  Until now, I've just done it for my own personal knowledge and it has proven to be a great resource I use when I have no idea what I should buy.

The collection essentially highlights the Recent Buys I have discovered throughout the dividend blog community. I always like to see what others are buying.  And with this collection, one can easily see all the buys in one centralized source. I Hope everyone has found it to be a great resource!

In case you just want a quick summary of what everyone has been buying this past month, below is a chart that depicts just that! :)

During the month of April a total of 37 buys were found throughout the DGI community. Although we saw an uptick in buying activity towards the end of the month, overall, it looks like DGI investors continued their decreased buying activity for the third consecutive month.  In January, we found a total of 128 buys, followed by 116 buys in February and 83 last month.  The winters specials have definitely gone away for now.
To summarize the past month, out of a total of 37 buys found around the DGI community, a total of 30 companies were purchased, and only 5 companies were bought more than once.  From the buys collected,  DGI investors picked up a stock that was not purchased by others 81.0% of the time.

With such a short list compiles, two companies ended with the top spot with buys from 3 different investors throughout the DGI community.  The companies were Apple Inc (AAPL)  and Wells Fargo Corp (WFC)Last month, Wells Fargo was in a 3-way tie for second with a total of 3 buys.
There was a 3-way tie for second place between Gilead Sciences Inc (GILD)Starbucks Corp. (SBUX), and Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners LP (BEP), which were each purchased by 2 different investors throughout the DGI community

All other stock buys found throughout the DGI were only bought once!!

Data used for this SUMMARY is from our

What have you been buying?  Please feel free to share in the comments or send me a link to your Recent Buy post in case I happened to have missed it.

If you have a chance, make sure you also take a look at my COLLECTION OF STOCK ANALYSES!! As with my collection of recent buys, my goal is to make this collection also become a centralized source for everyone. It could become a place where one can get ideas on what to invest in next, to establish a desired stock purchase price, or simply to see what your favorite bloggers are buying.  Whatever your reason, my hope is that this collection proves to be a great reference tool and helps provide you that little extra advantage that you are looking for in order to succeed with your investing.

Also, if you have a chance, make sure you also follow or visit Adam over at I Want to Retire Soon (IWTRS) as he provides a weekly summary of recent buys! A link to past summaries is maintained on his blog. Another great resource for ideas if you are not sure where to invest next!

  1. April was kind of light wasn't it? I like the AAPL pickups by everyone, myself included. Especially if they could get it after the earnings. Thanks for the summary!

    1. Yes, April was pretty light. Wished the Winter Specials were still here. We've been piling up cash lately so I'm ready for the next sale. ;)

I have my eye on AAPL, we own a few Apple products but no stocks...yet.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. AFFJ

  2. I expected to see Apple and Gilead, but Starbucks is a surprise. The stock seems overvalued to me. Thanks as always for putting this list together.

    1. I agree, AAPL and GILD certainly seems to be better values at this time. Both are near their 52-week lows. SBUX, on the other hand, is trading at just 12% discount from its 52-week high. Glad you enjoy the list buddy.

      Best wishes. AFFJ

  3. Thanks for sharing this information. BTW, you have APPL in a couple of places instead of AAPL.

    Take care!
