SALES
Glad to be reporting that this past month we did not sell off any shares from our family's dividend stock portfolio. And since we did not sell any shares throughout the month of February, that also means that our annual dividends did not decrease either.

PURCHASES
In January, we logged in a total of 12 buys and spent a total of $4,500.64 on new acquisitions for our family's dividend stocks portfolio. Those purchases had increased our forward dividends another $187.40. We started the year off on a strong note!!
Unfortunately, we somehow managed to lose all of our momentum and ended the month of February without a single buy. Hopefully, we can we turn things back around in the month of March.

Hi there. Nice blog. $156 in dividends sounds like a good deal. You could use that next month to buy more stocks. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks DIS. We will definitely look to put that new capital to use in the upcoming month. And since we didn't make a single buy last month, we have our dividends from January to spend as well! :)

Congrats on collecting those dividends in February! Did none of your holdings announce dividend increases? Thats another way to add to annual dividend income!
ReplyDeleteTake care and keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to buy in March.
You are right on FerdiS, dividend increase are such a great bonus to investing in dividend growth stocks. We did have a few increases but unfortunately we also got hit with a few dividend cuts recently too. :(

Looking good bud! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam. Thanks for the kind words of support. Wishing you nothing but success in return my friend. AFFJ
DeleteDon't beat yourself up too bad. January offered better deals than February in most cases. I bought more in January as well. On a positive note, your February dividends were fantastic. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks IH. I supposed if you split up our activity in January and carried it over to February, we would have had decent buying activity for both months. Just the over-achieve in me that wishes we could continue with the same intensity each and every month without letting the foot of the gas pedal. :)
DeleteThanks for providing us with a different perspective on things. AFFJ
$156 for February sounds good, even with KMI cut!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes!
Thanks HHWG. Always wish it was more but can't complain with the current success we've had thus far.

Frugal Fam,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see you continuing to roll in the right direction. Even though it looked like a slow month for you, it still leads to growth thanks to your dividend payments. Keep at it!

Thanks for following us on our journey DivMonster. Big or small, moving forward is all that we can ask for. With each buy and each dividend increase, we move close and closer to FI.

Solid month (especially for February), even without any buys, as you had a huge January to make up for it. I look forward to seeing what you do this month! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Agent Dividend. You are right. January was a pretty busy month so it does help offset the slow February. :) Thanks for following us on your journey.
DeleteHope you had a great weekend as well. AFFJ
AFFJ,
ReplyDeleteNice job!! Great overall - with telecommunications holding a sweet spot for you. No moves is making a move, stock pile the cash and wait for your favorite opportunity, it's all good!
Thank you for the post and keep it up!
-Lanny
Thanks Lanny. And yes, we love Verizon and AT&T, not a lot of growth but the attractive yield makes up for it. We have some cash ready so hopefully March provide us with a few opportunities to put our capital to use.
