The collection essentially highlights the Recent Buys I have discovered throughout the dividend blog community. I always like to see what others are buying. And with this collection, one can easily see all the buys in one centralized source. In November of 2014, I started making my collection of Recent Buys available on my blog for everyone. I Hope everyone has found it to be a great resource!
In case you just want a quick summary of what everyone has been buying this past month, below is a chart that depicts just that! :)
(The chart and table above only includes companies with more than 3 buys)
With Greece back in the news, the buying activity certainly picked up once again around the DGI community. In fact, since we've started to blog our Collection of Recent Buys, June saw the highest number of buys ever found throughout the DGI community in a single month. In all, a total of 73 buys were found throughout the month of June. In fact, since there were so many buys logged this past month, we decided to only chart those companies with more than 3 buys. In past months, we had previously included all companies with 2 or more buys.
To summarize, out of a total of 73 buys found around the DGI community, a total of 42 companies were purchased, with 15 companies bought more than once.
The following companies each had 3 buys (5 total):
And although not included in the chart, the following companies each had 2 buys (6 total):
- The most popular company this past month (and for the second consecutive month) was: Union Pacific Corp (UNP), which was purchased by 6 different investors throughout the DGI community.
- In second place was W.P. Carey Inc (WPC), which was purchased by 5 different investors throughout the DGI community.
- Third place was a tie between Johnson and Johnson (JNJ) and Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM) with a total of 4 buys.
The following companies each had 3 buys (5 total):
- Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD), Travelers Company (TRV), Coca Cola Company (KO), Ventas, Inc (VTR), Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS).
And although not included in the chart, the following companies each had 2 buys (6 total):
- T.Rowe Price (TROW), Omega Healthcare Investors Inc (OHI), Baxter International Inc (BAX), HCP Inc (HCP), Wal-Mart Stores (WMT), Oneok Inc (OKE).
We are happy to say, our family was certainly active during the recent buying frenzy this past month. During the month of June, we picked up shares in XOM, OHI, WMT, OKS, and VZ for our family's dividend stocks portfolio. After two straight months of light stock buying activity, we are thankful to see this month's turnaround. Hopefully, the market continues to react to Greece news and provide us long term investors with more opportunities to buy quality stocks on sale!!
What have you been buying? Please feel free to share in the comments or send me a link to your Recent Buy post in case I happened to have missed it.
Don't forget to bookmark or add this page to your favorites!!
If you have a chance, make sure you take a look at my Collection of Stock Analyses!! As with my collection of recent buys, my goal is to make this collection also become a centralized source for everyone. It could become a place where one can get ideas on what to invest in next, to establish a desired stock purchase price, or simply to see what your favorite bloggers are buying. Whatever your reason, my hope is that this collection proves to be a great reference tool and helps provide you that little extra advantage that you are looking for in order to succeed with your investing.
Well I contributed to two of those, UNP and XOM and just added some of another one on the list. You'll have to find out tomorrow which one it was! Thanks again for keeping up with this list. I always find it useful when my ideas are running low.
ReplyDeleteUNP and XOM were certainly popular buys among DGI investors this past month. In fact, I actually have you down for 2 separate buys of UNP. I have a feeling the buying frenzy will continue throughout the month of July as well.
DeleteI guess we'll be waiting anxiously for your next post and will definitely be adding it to our Collection of Recent Buys for July.
Keep on growing that Passive Income JC! AFFJ
UNP, KO, XOM, JNJ all looking good here. The real plays may be on interest sensitive securities such as REITs and utilities. All of which will probably fall even more when the fed officially announces its first rate hike. Keeping some dry powder handy for that day.
ReplyDeleteWe own 2 of the 4 top four buys in our family's dividend portfolio but hoping to own the other two soon as well. In fact, we have limit orders on both UNP and KO right now. Hoping Mr. Market allows us the opportunity to own both companies in the coming month!
DeleteI agree that the inevitable FED rate hike late this year will provide more buying opportunities. We currently have an over-funded emergency fund and so I can I can't wait for the opportunity to put some of that money to work for us. :)
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. AFFJ
Thanks for compiling the list. I added quite a few of the companies on the list.

You're welcome Div4Son. Our Collections are simply a centralized information source. It would be nothing without everyone sharing their buys and stock analyses. So for that, thanks for sharing your Recent Buys with the DGI community. Please continue to do so I promise to share the link with the rest of the DGI community.
DeleteBest wishes and continued success my friend. AFFJ
Happy 4th of July! I've bought three of these companies this month, XOM, KO and BNS. Thanks for compiling and sharing with everyone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the holiday wishes Agent Dividend. It's my pleasure to share these reports, as well as, my collections with the DGI community. Glad it appears to be a popular tool among fellow readers. AFFJ
DeleteLove these updates. Always nice to see what others are buying and which dividend stocks are the most popular. Thanks for compiling.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them DivHut. Given how well received these reports are, I am definitely committed to putting them together at the end of each month. Hope to continue for years to come.
DeleteThanks for the support. Take care. AFFJ
