However, since we find ourselves at least 10 years away from our goal of retirement, our current plan is to not only view the dividends but to also factor in stock value and growth potential. It is still our ultimate goal to one day exclusively hold dividend champions and challengers, but for now, we don't mind being a little more active with our trading so as long as our portfolio value continues to grow and our dividends are stable or growing.
